Hidden perched in the cliffs of the Mae Chan Mountains is the Wat Maa Tong or The Golden Horse Monastery. 60 kms north of Chiang Rai in the Golden Triangle.
15 years ago the ex-proffesional thai kickboxer Prah Kru Ba established The Golden Horse Monastry as a safe and spiritually educational place. Which he used to teach his ways of Buddha/thai boxing/ and spiritual discipline to the lost children of the region. Building them into disciplined young men and role models for the youth in the surrounding villages.
