Hidden perched in the cliffs of the Mae Chan Mountains is the Wat Maa Tong or The Golden Horse Monastery. 60 kms north of Chiang Rai in the Golden Triangle.

15 years ago the ex-Professional Thai Kick-boxer Prah Kru Ba established the Golden Horse Monastry. A safe and spiritual place to teach his way of Buddha/Thai boxing/ and spiritual discipline to the lost children of the region. His goal was to build them in to disciplined young men and role models for the youth in the surrounding villages.
