Melbourne Cup 2024 expat charity fun!

Chairwoman of the Melbourne Cup Bangkok organising committee, Ngoc Ellem said that the Melbourne Cup Charity Event event at the new Dusit Thani Bangkok was a great success due to the support of organisations such as My Rewards International.

The event, which attracted a diverse audience of Australian expatriates, members of the diplomatic community, and leaders of Australian businesses in Thailand, marked the debut of this innovative cashback solution designed to enhance the travel experiences of Australian travellers and expats.

“With the support of MRI and FlyWallet Mastercard, we were able to raise much needed funds for Hands Across The Water, a charity that is dedicated to enriching the lives of disadvantaged children and communities in Thailand,” she added.

“It was a great opportunity for them to introduce the new FlyWallet Mastercard cashback program to almost 270 expatriate and Thai guests who enjoyed a fun day of celebrations at the new Dusit Thani hotel while at the same time supporting a good cause.”

This year, the lunch raised over AUD$30,000 for Hands Across the Water, which supports disadvantaged children and families in Thailand.
