Prachuap Khiri Khan in Thailand’s gulf area is a fascinating province to visit.

Besides its lovely beaches and mountainous terrain it’s also a gateway to Myanmar.

The border crossing here opened here in 2013. The Singkhon Pass also referred to as Sing Khon and as Maw Daung after the name of the Burmese town west of the border, is a pass across the Tenasserim Hills on the border between Thailand and Myanmar, at an elevation of 245 meters (804 ft).

The pass is close to the narrowest point of Thailand in Khlong Wan. The local Dan Singkhon Markets are very popular and many Burmese sell their diverse products including wooden furniture.
