ABOUT THE DESTINATION THAILAND TEAM
Destination Thailand is one of the longest running and best known English language programs in Thailand.
DT as we call it, is produced by Capital Television, the same team behind the widely syndicated Travel Asia & Beyond which aired for over a decade on STAR World and on numerous other travel and lifestyle networks.
After almost 20 years on air in Thailand there are few places our team has not traveled to within the Kingdom.
From the mountainous provinces of the far north, to the jungles of the west, from the great rice bowl of central Thailand, to the village life of the north-east and the sparkling islands and beaches of the south, we constantly take our viewers on a fascinating journey.
We’ve ventured off the beaten track, toured on big bikes, ridden on elephant backs, chugged through waters in long-tail boats, trekked alongside waterfalls, walked through national parks, dived on reefs and endlessly explored the history, attractions, culture, nature and cuisine of Thailand.

Les Nyerges, CEO of Destination Thailand, leads Destination Productions—the Australian arm of Capital TV Bangkok, a highly regarded video production company that was established in Thailand and founded in 1995 by two Australian expatriates originally from Brisbane, Capital TV Bangkok successfully entered the English-language travel television markets of Southeast Asia. From Australia, Les manages the operational and promotional aspects of producing Destination Thailand, working closely with the Bangkok creative team, on-location camera crews, and website content in partnership with Web Engine Network.
Raine Grady oversees our Bangkok-based camera crews and coordinates location production for both Destination Thailand and Travel Asia & Beyond. Since 1995, our dedicated teams have travelled extensively across Thailand, documenting inspiring travel and cultural stories from a unique expatriate perspective that resonates with international audiences.
Tony Hanscomb, based in Thailand, ensures the seamless operation of our websites through expert programming and server management. Supported by the UK-based Web Engine Network which was created on January 12, 1999 and hosted on a high-performance Singapore server, our platforms consistently achieve near-perfect uptime, delivering reliable access to our content worldwide.
