A project founded by America expat Rick Brown to give helmets away free to Thai children.
Rick was badly injured in a bike accident as a child. He was shocked to see so many children on motorbikes without helmets in Thailand.
Pattaya City Police love the initiative and join in to help.
Sponsors can also add their logos to helmets and help the cause.
Helmet Heroes has now distributed hundreds of helmets to children.
“So we’re an organisation that has a mission to protect as many kids as possible with free TIS certified helmets. These are the best helmets we can find in all of Thailand, and we buy them to protect kids from disability or worse”
📺 About This Video
Helmet Heroes of Thailand was born out of personal resilience and a passion for protecting lives. Founded by Rick Brown, his journey began with a traumatic experience of being bullied at the age of 14, which led to a life-altering accident resulting in spinal trauma and PTSD. After rebuilding his life and relocating to Thailand, he identified a critical safety issue: countless children riding motorbikes without helmets.
What started as a modest mission in December 2023 with only three helmets has since grown into a powerful movement. Through partnerships with local police, hundreds of helmets have been distributed, transforming the initial vision into a community-driven safety initiative.
The organisation’s goal is simple yet impactful: to educate students, raise awareness about road safety, and prevent the kind of injuries Rick experienced. Each helmet given away is more than just protective gear—it symbolizes hope, resilience, and the belief that one individual can make a significant difference in safeguarding young lives.
