Koh Kood (also spelled Ko Kood or Koh Kut) is one of Thailand’s quietest and most beautiful islands — known for clear turquoise water, jungle-covered hills, waterfalls, and a much more relaxed atmosphere than places like Phuket or Koh Samui.

People love Ko Kood because of its uncrowded beaches, long stretches of soft white sand with very little development, crystal-clear water and a slow pace — no nightlife scene compared with Thailand’s party islands. It’s ideal for couples, nature lovers, and people wanting to disconnect.

Best beaches Some standout beaches include: Klong Chao Beach — probably the island’s most famous beach, with powdery sand and calm water. Ao Tapao Beach — peaceful and lined with resorts. Bang Bao Beach — scenic bay with rustic beachfront stays. Ao Noi Beach — smaller and very secluded.

Ko Kood feels different to other compared Thai Islands by being quieter, greener, more upscale-but-natural and less commercialized.

The ideal season is generally November to April with sunny and dry with calm seas.

Most travellers fly or travel to Trat and then take a ferry or speedboat from Laem Sok Pier to Ko Kood.
