Get involved in the upcoming ‘Run to Remember 2024’! Almost 20 years have passed since Peter Baines OAM first came to Thailand from Australia as a forensic expert, assisting in the aftermath of the devastating tsunami on December 26, 2004. Deeply moved by their plight, Peter founded the Hands Across the Water Foundation (Hands) in Australia, with a mission to nurture and heal children in its aftermath. Today, Hands continues to receive generous donations and support from various activities, all of which go directly to benefit children’s homes across Thailand. This year, for the first time, Hands Across the Water (Thailand) is organizing the “Run to Remember 2024” in partnership with key supporters, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration and other sponsors. This family friendly event, held in the heart of Bangkok at Chatuchak Park on the 15th December, encourages everyone to embrace a healthier lifestyle through exercise while making a positive impact. The proceeds from the event, after expenses, will go towards helping the children under the foundation’s care, spreading smiles and creating brighter futures. The event is part of a remarkable initiative led by Peter Baines, founder of Hands Across the Water, who will be running an extraordinary 1,400 kilometers from Yasothon to Khaolak in just 26 days, from the 1st to the 26th of December 2024. This monumental journey aims to raise AUD$1 million to provide children with better opportunities and a life of choice. #bangkok #runtoremember2024 #charityrun #handsacrossthewaterfoundation Post navigation Thailand Top Hospitals entice Bangladeshi Patients Melbourne Cup 2024 expat charity fun at the Dusit Thani Bangkok
