TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice Destination Award is given to Bangkok

TripAdvisor is the world’s largest travel site and offers trusted advice from real travellers.
It has more than 200 million monthly visitors and over 100 million reviews and opinions covering more than 2.5 million accommodations, restaurants and attractions. The sites operate in 30 countries worldwide. So when Bangkok picks up the Travelers Choice Award for the number one destination in Asia for 2013 its really big news.

The regional team of TripAdvisor from Singapore made its way to Bangkok to personally present the award to Bangkok’s Governor.

No doubt this will take pride of place on the Governors mantelpiece. His city was also ranked within the world’s top 15 destinations — alongside places like Paris, London, New York, Rome and Sydney.

It was a proud day for the city of Angels.
