Wat Pa Arjiang Elephant Temple and Sanctuary near Surin in north east Thailand, is a monument to a giant mythical elephant named Erawan, who was the mount for the Hindu god Indra. Wat Pa Arjiang has been nine years in the making and there’s still a fair bit of work to be done before it’s completed. The organisation keeps a fairly low profile, compared to other similar ones in Surin, and doesn’t have a website or email address.
